Gustav Leonhardt - J.S. Bach: Goldberg – Variationen um 1740 / Esoteric

The finest harpsichord playing can be heard here by the Dutch harpsichordist, organist and conductor Gustav Leonhardt. The performance of Bach's Goldberg Variations - Aria with 30 Variations (Piano Exercise Part IV),

BWV 988, was recorded in 1965 in the Hervormde Church in Bennebroek, Holland. The recording was made on a grand piano by Martin Skowroneck, after J. D. Dulcken.
