The style of the extraordinary Hungarian conductor Istvan Kertész was described as colourful and spontaneous, but always with great respect for the composer's style.
This recording, made in 1965-66, represents a high point in the London Symphony Orchestra's association with Kertész, whose life ended at the age of 43 in a swimming
accident during a concert tour.
We recommend the use of "L'Art du Son" CD/DVD conditioner for even more sonic improvement.
