The 20-year-old Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy traveled to Scotland for a few weeks in 1829, where he created one of his most famous works: Symphony No. 3 in A minor, "Scottish".
This recording of the London Symphony Orchestra together with the Swiss conductor Peter Maag took place in 1960 in London's legendary "Kingsway Hall", which no longer exists since 1998.
We recommend the use of "L'Art du Son" CD/DVD conditioner for even more sonic improvement.
