Gaucho' was released in 1980 as the seventh studio album by the jazz-rock band Steely Dan. With this album, Walter Becker and Donald Fagen's perfectionism reached its peak: they used no less than
42 musicians in the studio during the two years of recording. Needless to say, the financial advances from their record company were mercilessly exhausted. The album is more minimalist than its predecessors,
the songs develop from and around a single rhythm or mood, and are primarily about extensive drug use. Gaucho' wants to be conquered; 'Babylon Sisters' and 'Hey Nineteen' are real Steely Dan gems.
We recommend the use of "L'Art du Son" CD/DVD conditioner for even more sonic improvement.
