Analogue Productions is releasing another album for the ages in its "Atlantic75" series: the 1969 debut by Crosby, Stills & Nash, which sold like hotcakes and influenced many important artists.
After their previous band affiliations (Crosby with the Byrds, Stills with Buffalo Springfield and Nash with the Hollies) had come to an end, the three musicians realised during a jam session how
well their voices harmonised and how much they could work together. Luckily! The album contains some of their best known songs, such as "Suite: Judy Blue Eyes", "Marrakesh Express", "Wooden
Ships" and "Helplessly Hoping" and was certified four times platinum. With this debut, CSN also heralded a shift in music history, from blues-based rock to a more folky, sometimes jazz-based sound
that inspired the likes of The Eagles, Jackson Browne and Fleetwood Mac.
Remastered for this 45rpm double LP reissue by Bernie Grundman.
