In 1991, six years after their masterpiece 'Brothers in Arms', Dire Straits released their last studio album 'On Every Street' after a break of several years and a temporary separation.
It was a great final effort, in which the band simply made really good music in the classic British style of understatement, without any marketing pomp and forced continuation of their previous successes.
The first re-release as a 45 double LP plays true to life with a generous groove space, nuanced details and bright colours, Knopfler's finely modelled guitar lines come to the fore transparently.
A real treat to add to any audiophile collection. The remastering for Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab was done by Krieg Wunderlich.
