In October 1991, respected jazz instrumentalists Bob James (keyboards), Lee Ritenour (guitar), Nathan East (bass) and Harvey Mason (drums) joined forces to form the highly successful supergroup Fourplay.

Their self-titled debut album, backed by the hit single "After The Dance", spent 33 weeks at number one on the American contemporary jazz charts and sold over a million copies. The reissue on Evolution Music

includes a previously unreleased long version of 'After The Dance'.
