Harold Mabern Trio – Kiss Of Fire / Venus Records

A native of Memphis, Tennessee, Harold Mabern carried the musical spirit of his hometown and developed into a respected hard bop pianist since the 1950s,

playing with many big names in jazz. "Kiss of Fire" is the first album in a series of releases on Venus Records that appeared between 2002 and 2008.

Mabern plays in a trio with Joe Farnsworth on drums and Nat Reeves on bass; special guest is saxophonist Eric Alexander.

Venus LPs are pressed only once. After the first edition is sold out, the titles are removed from the catalog. Collectors should therefore consider a purchase in time.
