Laudate II - Baroque Music from the Düben Collection / AudioNautes

In the 1970s, the Swedish label Proprius produced a whole series of extremely realistic-sounding music recordings that are still praised by audiophiles for their excellent sound quality. "Laudate II", released in 1981,

is the second recording for Proprius by the Uppsala Academy Chamber Choir and the Drottningholms Baroque Ensemble under the direction of conductor Anders Eby. It features seven pieces from the Düben Collection,

the largest private collection of 17th and 18th century compositions, now part of the Uppsala University Library collection.What at first glance seems like a niche product for musicologists has been one of the label's greatest

Camorani to have the track remastered from the original tapes by Miles Showell (Abbey Road Studios) for AudioNautes.The first 500 copies of the 180 gram LP with 33 1/3 rpm will be released in a numbered edition.
