This coveted Soundroom demo single was originally released on Classic Records. It features two brilliant tracks from one of the most classic jazz and audiophile titles of all time, 'Satchmo Plays King Oliver'.

Side 1 contains the track 'St James Infirmary', side 2 'I Ain't Got Nobody', cut at 45 RPM. The re-release on Analogue Productions was mastered by Bernie Grundman.

'Satchmo Plays King Oliver' is Armstrong's tribute to the man who helped shape his trumpet style in New Orleans and whose invitation to join his "Creole Jazz Band" in Chicago brought him into the limelight - Joe Oliver.
