With "Clique," Patricia Barber follows up on her album "Nightclub," which was popular with fans and critics alike and on which she presents American standards. The US jazz musician, pianist and composer has made
a name for herself among audiophiles with her music between poetry, jazz and art song. "Clique" is a renewed collection of standards that Barber has previously only played in concert as encores, including titles by Stevie Wonder,
Lee Hazlewood and Thelonious Monk. She is accompanied by longtime collaborators Patrick Mulcahy (bass), Jon Deitemyer (drums), Neal Alger (guitar) and Jim Gailloretto (saxophone).
Recording in DXD is the responsibility of Grammy winner Jim Anderson, who also handled the mixing at Skywalker Sound's studios. Bob Ludwig (Gateway Mastering) is responsible for the mastering. Fans call this the best Patricia
Barber album in terms of sound.
We recommend the use of "L'Art du Son" LP cleaner to wet wash your vinyl. Even new records of high quality production will benefit from this.
