Peder Af Ugglas is a guitar wizard who can hold his own on the international stage: equally at home on electric and acoustic guitar and with blues as his foundation, he offers a highly interesting mix, sensitive and soulful, of rock, jazz, fusion, world music,
and classical influences. His range is sometimes reminiscent of David Lindley, sometimes of Ry Cooder, and sometimes of Peter Green—but he always sounds unmistakably like Af Ugglas! On “Autumn Shuffle,” his debut album, all the tracks are his own
compositions. In addition to guitar, he also plays piano, keyboards, and occasionally electric bass. The last track on the album is particularly impressive: “A Hymn.” Recorded in Stockholm's largest church, Af Ugglas celebrates a very special kind of slide guitar
hymn in a duo with Mattias Wager on the organ! In addition to his work as a musician, Af Ugglas has also made a name for himself as a producer and studio musician over the past ten years, working with the cream of Swedish musicians, including Louise Hoffsten.
“The sound quality is simply phenomenal. Recommended track: A Hymn.” (Robert Schmitz-Niehaus, Hörerlebnis 63)
"Wow: The instrumental album Autumn Shuffle by slide guitar virtuoso Peder Af Ugglas has turned out to be a real bestseller in the Opus 3 program. No wonder, if you ask me, given the truly tasteful, pleasant in the very best sense, mature compositions and an extremely
rich sound that enchants with its great colorfulness, credible spatial impression, and almost live-like tangibility." (Cai Brockmann, image hifi 1/2008)
The LP (180-gram vinyl, 33 RPM), which boasts outstanding sound quality, was pressed by Optimal Media. Andreas “Lupo” Lubich (Calyx Mastering, Berlin) is responsible for the lacquer disc cutting.

Opus 3 is an independent Swedish music label dedicated to recording timeless acoustic music such as jazz, blues, folk and classical. Founded in late 1976 by sound engineer Jan-Eric Persson, the label has made it its mission to reproduce voices and instruments as
naturally as possible. To achieve this, Opus 3 selects recording environments with good natural. The label's recording techniques were developed specifically for acoustic music and were originally based on the use of tube gear and “Blumlein” miking. In 2001, Opus 3
switched to digital eight-track technology and later to 16 channels – in the brand-new mixing and mastering studio designed and set up by Sweden's leading acoustic engineer Lennart Nilsson to mark the label's 30th anniversary. Apart from a few digital intermediate
steps all processing is still done exclusively analog.
We recommend the use of "L'Art du Son" LP cleaner to wet wash your vinyl. Even new records of high quality production will benefit from this.
