Sophia Tremelli, the stunning Italian jazz tenor saxophonist, makes her musical debut in Japan with Venus Records! Her nostalgic American jazz style, characterized by a feminine,

sensitive sound and exciting improvised solos, is absolutely refreshing! Tomelleri won an award at the Luciano Zorzella Competition in 2020 and is considered a new hope for the Italian

jazz scene. The album, which she recorded together with the famous Massimo Faraò Trio (Faraò on piano, Nicola Barbon on bass Alessandro Buzzi on drums), features various jazz standards,

including “I Couldn't Live Without You,” “I Want To Be Happy” and “The Shadow Of Your Smile.”

“Sweet And Lovely” was recorded at Riverside Studio in Torino, Italy, on February 24 and 25, 2023 and was produced, mixed and mastered by legendary sound engineer Tetsuo Hara.

Venus Records was founded in Japan in 1992 by Tetsuo Hara, who previously worked as a producer for RCA Victor. The prestigious label uses a special mastering process called “Hyper Magnum Sound”

for the strictly limited double LP of “Sweet And Lovely”. The records are cut at 33 RPM and pressed on 180-gram vinyl, which produces a powerful, present sound and is highly appreciated by audiophiles worldwide.
