The Doors' fourth album, released in 1969, received very mixed reviews. The band sought new influences and worked with strings and horns, but the fusion of psychedelic

rock and poetry was not successful on all songs. The mix was particularly successful on the hit "Touch Me" and the riffs on "Wild Child" were also well received.
