Acclaimed pianist Van Cliburn and the Chicago Symphony perform piano concertos by Prokofiev and MacDowell under the baton of Walter Hendl. Throughout his extensive career, Cliburn's recordings have had a significance all their own.
He was among the best in his field in the Romantic repertoire - Liszt, Chopin, Schumann, Grieg, MacDowell and Rachmaninov. In 1962, he founded the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in Fort Worth, Texas, to which he devoted
more time than to his own career as a performing artist. He died at home in Fort Worth in February 2013 at the age of 78. His legacy is immortal. Mastered by Ryan K. Smith of Sterling Sound, pressed on 180-gram vinyl by Quality Record Pressings.
We recommend the use of "L'Art du Son" LP cleaner to wet wash your vinyl. Even new records of high quality production will benefit from this.
