Martina Schöner spent almost ten years developing the ultimate needle cleaner. There are perfectly understandable reasons for this, because although there is no shortage of similar products on the market,

needle cleaners are often subject to justified criticism – mainly with regard to the ingredients of the liquids: the cleaning effect is achieved through the use of alcohol and solvents. These have the undesirable

characteristic of attacking the adhesive between the diamond and the needle carrier and seriously accelerating the hardening process of the elastomers in the needle carrier suspension – a slow death for every

cartridge, even if you wanted to treat it well. This is where the Stylus Cleaner from L'Art du Son comes in, a needle cleaner that is unlike any other product on the market!

The name “L'Art du Son” has become a seal of quality for high-end products used by audiophiles around the world to maintain and enhance the sound quality of their vinyl records, CDs, DVDs or BluRay discs. It was

therefore clear from the outset that Martina Schöner did not want to present a stylus cleaner that was only superior to competing products in certain aspects – it had to be superior in every respect! She spent countless

hours developing new mixtures that did not contain alcohol or solvents in order to eliminate the “side effects” described above. At the same time, it had to guarantee perfect cleaning results and have a positive effect on

the sound quality during playback. It is hard to imagine how much effort and concentration it must have taken to subject each new mixture to rigorous visual and acoustic testing. The breakthrough came with a unique

combination of different surfactants that not only ensure extremely gentle and effective cleaning – the L'Art du Son's Stylus Cleaner instantly delivers a smoother, more defined and powerful sound, regardless of whether

the Cartridge is a Moving Coil, Moving Magnet or Moving Iron.

Using the L'Art du Son Stylus Cleaner requires only two skills from the user: a steady hand when handling the sensitive diamond needle carrier construction and economical use of the cleaning fluid. The package includes

a special brush from L'Art du Son with fine white bristles. The liquid is applied to the bristles using the glass pipette. A tiny drop is enough – the system does not need to be “drowned”! Then gently brush the needle carrier

several times with the brush, moving from back to front. This is all that is needed to clean the needle. A fine film of this needle cleaner removes baked-on abrasion and other sticky deposits from the contact surface of the stylus.

If you follow these simple instructions, the fluid content 17 milliliters will be sufficient for several hundred applications. The brush is also very easy to clean: simply hold it under running water and wipe with a clean microfiber

cloth if necessary.
