Bad Company set a furious pace in the early years of their career: Between 1974 and 1977, four albums were released and constantly accompanied by touring. After the recordings for “Burnin' Sky”, the band members were exhausted and
worn down – they decided to take a break. Two years later, on March 17, 1979, to be exact, Bad Company released their fifth album: “Desolation Angels” showed the band with fresh hard rock forces – but still committed to their characteristic sound.
The success of “Desolation Angels” proved that Bad Company had a dedicated fan base and was able to hold its own against the rising tide of young punk rock and new wave acts: the album reached number 10 in the UK and number 3 in the US album
charts, and “Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy” became one of the band's best-selling singles. To date, “Desolation Angels” has sold more than 2 million copies – double platinum status! For the 75th anniversary of Atlantic Records, Analogue Productions is now reissuing
this chart-topping classic – as a luxurious double LP on 180-gram vinyl, cut at 45 RPM and manufactured by Quality Record Pressings. The gatefold double pocket was designed by Stoughton Printing.
We recommend the use of "L'Art du Son" LP cleaner to wet wash your vinyl. Even new records of high quality production will benefit from this.
