The 4th Symphony and "Das Lied von der Erde" were the only works by Gustav Mahler that Fritz Reiner recorded as conductor with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
Recorded in the Golden Age of Stereo, in 1958, this recording again demonstrates Reiner's skill. Remastering for Analogue Productions was handled by Ryan K. Smith.
We recommend the use of "L'Art du Son" LP cleaner to wet wash your vinyl. Even new records of high quality production will benefit from this.
