The Hollywood film about a jazz pianist and an actress in Los Angeles was not the only one to win numerous awards. Justin Hurwitz's soundtrack has also won awards,

including Oscars for best film score and best song, as well as two Grammy Awards. Hurwitz and director Damien Chazelle previously collaborated successfully on the

musical film drama "Whiplash." Their soundtrack to "La La Land" is reminiscent of iconic Hollywood musical films such as "Singin' in the Rain," "A Star is Born" and

"Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.
