Modest Mussorgsky's piano cycle "Pictures at an Exhibition", composed in 1874, is dedicated to the artistic work of his deceased friend,
the painter and architect Viktor Hartmann. Maurice Ravel's orchestral version, first performed in 1922, became world famous, immediately
followed by Leopold Stokowski's version performed here with London's "New Philharmonia Orchestra". The recording took place in 1965 in
the "Kingsway Hall" in London.
We recommend the use of "L'Art du Son" CD/DVD conditioner for even more sonic improvement.
