Australian musician and composer Nicki Parrott is a true multi-talent: initially trained on the flute and piano, she later switched to the double bass and achieved mastery and great popularity on this instrument.

She performed for many years at the legendary Les Paul Sessions at the Iridium Jazz Club and in several successful Broadway ensembles, and played alongside pianist Rachel Z and her sister Lisa Parrott.
