Pierre Monteux & London Symphony Orchestra - Brahms: Symphony No. 2 / Esoteric

After studying violin, conductor Pierre Monteux (1875 - 1964) himself played Johannes Brahms, who later became one of his favourite composers. He recorded the

German composer's Second Symphony with the London Symphony Orchestra at Wembley Town Hall in London in 1962, which is featured on this release.
