On her second album from 1991, Sarah McLachlan still shows herself to be extremely open to new ideas, but less playful than in her first work "Touch". The beginnings of great folk pop
are already emerging, and the path to the ballads that would later characterize her is also marked out. However, the whole thing seems even less perfect and therefore perhaps more authentic
than the later hit albums like "Surfacing". She draws from great idols like Sinead O'Connor, yet finds her own voice and musical urgency. The reissue for Analogue Productions sounds surprisingly
much better than the initial release, creating warmth and space in the sound picture and making earlier digital coldness completely forgotten.
Double LP with 45 rpm.
