Within two years, Jeff Beck set new standards for instrumental music and brought a breath of fresh air to the jazz-rock scene. In 1975 he turned to fusion and jazz-rock and presented "Blow By Blow",
an impressive album that thrilled both fans and critics. This was followed in 1976 by "Wired" - a collaborative effort with keyboardist Jan Hammer - another instrumental highlight. With first-class collaborators
at his side and eight excellent songs in his luggage, including his legendary interpretation of Charles Mingus' "Goodbye Pork Pie Hat" and Jan Hammer's "Blue Wind", Beck once again shows himself in top form
on "Wired". In addition to Hammer, ex-member of the Mahavishnu Orchestra and head of the Jan Hammer Group, drummer Narada Michael Walden and bassist Wilbur Bascomb reinforce the proven team of the
"Blow By Blow" sessions with keyboardist Max Middleton, drummer Richard Bailey and Beatles producer Sir George Martin.
The remastering of the double 45 rpm LP for Analogue Productions was done by Ryan Smith at Sterling Sound.
