The South Korean violinist Kyung Wha Chung comes from a well-known and traditional family of musicians. She left her home country at the age of 12 to study with Ivan Galamian at the Juilliard School of Music in New York.

Her career took off rapidly: she was the biggest discovery of the 1972/73 concert season in Germany and was honored with the “Stern des Jahres” (Star of the Year) in Munich. One of her most popular recordings is definitely

Group GmbH in Germany on high-quality 180-gram vinyl (33 RPM). Analogphonic commissioned Thorsten Scheffner (Organic Music) to work with the Warner Music original tapes, which were originally created at Abbey Road Studios

in 1998. The remastering does justice to the outstanding musical quality of the recording in every respect and fulfills the wish of many analog lovers who previously only had access to the CD version.
